Supporting CFAX Santas Anonymous — A Heartfelt Moment
Today was a humbling and heartwarming experience for my wife and I as we had the honor of presenting a donation cheque along with my fellow Candidate Applicant, for $810.78 to CFAX Santas Anonymous Executive Assistant, Meagan. This incredible donation was made possible by the generosity of everyone who attended our Riding Association Christmas dinner.
A particularly touching moment came when a member of my team selflessly donated her 50/50 winnings back to the cause. Her act of kindness doubled the amount we were able to give and reminded me of the incredible power of community and the importance of giving back.
As a longtime member of this community, I’ve always believed in the value of supporting one another, especially during the holidays. CFAX Santas Anonymous is a perfect example of how a little generosity can go a long way in transforming lives. This year alone, they’ve supported over 4,600 children and 1,200 families, providing not only toys—two per child, including one chosen by the child—but also food hampers to brighten the holidays for so many. A special shout out to the Saanich Fire Department who will be delivering the toys and food this week.
More importantly, Santas Anonymous’ work extends beyond the holiday season. They provide year-round support to families in need, ensuring that no one is forgotten. This kind of dedication reflects the values I hold dear: kindness, compassion and the belief that together, we can build a stronger, more supportive community.
As someone who has dedicated my life to service—first in the military and now as a community advocate—I am inspired by the difference we can make when we come together. That’s why I’m encouraging everyone to join in supporting CFAX Santas Anonymous in any way they can:
